About the Naval Helicopter Association
We’re here to support the full rotary-wing/tilt-rotor community—pilots, aircrew, maintainers, staff, and their families. From the flight line to final tour, the Naval Helicopter Association exists to connect, advocate, and recognize those who make the mission happen.
Who We Serve
The Naval Helicopter Association (NHA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit dedicated to advancing the professionalism, innovation, and operational excellence of rotary and tiltrotor aviation within the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. We bring together active-duty service members, veterans, and supporters through events, publications, awards, and mentorship—building a network as capable and committed as the community it represents.
What We Stand For
We believe the future of naval helicopter aviation depends on those who fly, fix, support, and lead. That’s why NHA works to:
- Promote operational excellence and professional growth
- Strengthen community through connection and shared experience
- Recognize outstanding performance across all roles and ranks
- Preserve the legacy of rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aviation across generations
Our Programs & Offerings
Annual Symposium
A flagship gathering of operators, planners, and industry leaders. The symposium is where conversations happen, decisions take shape, and the rotary-wing and tilt-rotor community advances in real time.
Rotor Review Magazine
Our quarterly publication features fleet updates, and stories from across the rotary-wing / tilt-rotor force. Written by and for the community.
Awards & Scholarships
Each year, NHA recognizes outstanding performance and service across the rotary-wing and tilt-rotor community. From national-level distinctions to education-focused scholarships, we celebrate those who lead by example—in the air, on the ground, and in the community.
Our Story
Founded in 1971, NHA was created by and for the rotary-wing community. What began as a small group of naval aviators and aircrew has grown into a nationwide organization built on mutual respect, mission focus, and a drive to serve something bigger than ourselves.
Our Values
At NHA, we operate with purpose. Our core values reflect the way our community flies, leads, and lives:
- Integrity in every action
- Professionalism at every level
- Collaboration across commands and career stages
- Respect for the mission and everyone who makes it possible
Meet Our Dedicated Team
We’re proud to be led by professionals who understand the demands of the mission and the needs of the people behind it.
